Board of Directors Nominations Due 6/1

Interested in becoming more involved in SBCA activities? Consider running to be a member of the Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for the governance of the Society; members serve on selected committees and participate in periodic conference calls and meetings. Current and previous members are listed online

The Board is also seeking nominations for Vice President, Assistant Treasurer and Secretary. The Vice President chairs the program committee for our annual meeting as well as the nominating committee, and automatically succeeds the President. The Assistant Treasurer is responsible for assisting with the Treasurer’s duties, and automatically succeeds that role. The Secretary is a three-year position responsible for preserving the non-financial records of the Society and recording all proceedings of the Board and other meetings of the Society. 

Nominations are due no later than June 1, 2017, and should be emailed to sbcainfo@uw.edu. Self-recommendations are strongly encouraged. Please include your name, institutional affiliation, email address, and phone number, as well as a brief (250 words or fewer) biographical statement summarizing your qualifications. 

Potential candidates will be reviewed by the nominating committee for election in autumn 2017, with terms beginning in January 2018.
