The Society for Benefit-Cost Analysis Selects Drohan Management Group for Association Management Services

The Society for Benefit-Cost Analysis (SBCA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Drohan Management Group (DMG) as the organization’s new management service and support team. The selection was made through a competitive procurement process. DMG will provide overall management for the Society, effective January 1, 2018.

DMG is a full-service Association Management Company based in Reston, VA. DMG has been in business for over 20 years, and its executives have over 200 years of combined experience in the association field and in hosting conferences and other events. DMG has a staff of 60 and manages 30 national and international organizations on both a full-service and project basis. For more information about DMG, visit

Terri Knapp will serve as the Executive Director. Terri has been working in the Association world for over 10 years, and has assisted in the growth and program expansion for numerous organizations. She has experience with project management and a focus on achieving best practices.

The transition to DMG's new management has begun and the SBCA Board is looking forward to working with DMG as we continue to pursue our mission and strategic goals of expanding our membership, increasing the ways we add value for our members, and extending our international reach.

With this transition, we bring our 10-year association with the University of Washington to a close. The SBCA has benefited from the strong leadership and management support offered by the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington since the founding of the Society in 2007. The SBCA Board is especially grateful for the outstanding leadership provided by Erika Dowd, the SBCA Executive Director. Erika’s dedication to the Society was recognized in 2016 when she was honored with the Richard Zerbe Distinguished Service Award. We also extend our appreciation to Keala Aronowitz and the other Evans School staff who have so ably supported the SBCA in the last decade, including Dean Sandra Archibald. The Evans School will continue to provide management support for the Journal of Benefit-Cost Analysis through September 2018 as part of a generous grant from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
